It was a cold, quiet night in the town of Karakura and the reason for that was because of the late hour that this beautiful town was in. The only lights that gave Karakura Town any type of illumination was the street lamps so if someone was to look up they would see a partly lit sky filled with the natural light from the stars above. It was peaceful but on this quiet night that wouldn't last much longer, suddenly a loud crash was heard deep in the interior of the town without any warning. A small abandoned apartment building had just crumbled and fell to the ground in a cloud of dust for reasons unknown, but as the dust cleared the reason became as clear as day. In the settling dust was a monsters creature the size of the small building that had just been destroyed and it was known simply known as a Hollow, he seen standing with blood covered hands and teeth as he let out a loud roar that echoed throughout the area. After he finished with the roar the hollow show a very dark smile as the blood dripped from his mouth to the ground below, the blood could only be from a recent feeding that the hollow took part in. All of a sudden from the rubble a small girl emerged and looked like she was in a daze from the building collapsing over her, the hollow noticing her lowered his head to her level still with the same smile as he waited for her to turn around. The little girl then turned just as the hollow expected and saw the monstrous face as she shrieked in fear so she tried to crawl away but her efforts were futile. Before she had the chance to escape the monster wrapped his hand around her entire body and picked her up from the ground leaving her immobilized as he slowly move her closer and closer to her mouth ready for his desert. Just before all hope was lost the hand of the monster was severed from his arm and released the girl from his grasp and as she fell she was suddenly caught by an unknown man wearing a black kimono, bright orange hair and the large blade responsible for severing the hand of the beast, but even though the mans appearance was strange the girl was relived to see him for he seem to be there to help her. The man with bright orange hair walk away from the hollow who was screaming in pain for losing a hand, he placed the girl down as he then turned facing the beast ready to slay it with a single blow. The hollow roared as it ran to the man but he showed no fear as he then jumped and in one simple movement severed the hollow's entire being with fell swoop. The man then turned placing the large blade on his back sighed, for the difference in power was to great for the man simply know as Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki.
